Sungkyung Kim
Sungkyung Kim is a trauma-informed counselor specializing in developmental trauma, domestic violence, and
sexual assault recovery. Through an integrative approach combining somatic therapy and a relational lens, she
supports individuals in restoring connection with their bodies, regulating emotions, and experiencing deep relational
repair.
While trauma work is at the heart of her practice, Sungkyung also helps individuals and families navigate a wide
range of relational and emotional challenges. These include parent-child conflict, marital stress, intergenerational
tension, and cultural dissonance often experienced by immigrant families. Her work extends to family and couples
counseling, with the goal of promoting understanding, emotional safety, and lasting transformation in relationships.
Sungkyung believes counseling is not just about solving problems, but about reclaiming vitality, inner safety, and
connection with oneself and others. She walks alongside each client with warmth, professionalism, and deep respect.
